Apple has announced a new lineup of powerful Mac Pro computers with up to 18 cores and Intel’s fastest chip. The M1 Pro and M1 Max are geared towards professional use cases, such as 3D audio production or VR rendering.
Apple announced the release of two new M1 Pro and Max models for their Mac Pro lineup, which offer a 7-core 8th generation Intel Xeon processor and up to 128GB RAM. These powerful machines will be available in December 2018 with prices starting at $6999 USD.
Apple has announced the powerful M1 Pro and M1 Max for its new Mac Pro lineup. The laptops come with a 16-core Intel Xeon processor, up to 64GB of RAM, and up to 10TB of storage.
At an online presentation on Monday, Apple introduced two new incarnations of its renowned M1 silicone, the M1 Pro and the M1 Max. In terms of GPU and CPU performance, the new silicone is substantially more powerful.
The M1 Max has up to 16 GPU cores and 10 CPU cores. The M1 Pro’s GPU performance is up to four times quicker than the M1’s, and its CPU performance is up to 70 percent greater. In terms of GPU performance, the M1 Max may outperform the M1 by up to 13 times.
The new Max and Pro CPUs are intended for Apple’s higher-end Macbook Pro models, which have hitherto relied on Intel chips. Both CPUs are manufactured using a 5nm technique, which Apple claims will result in significant performance improvements.
Starting Monday, the new Macbook Pros will be available for purchase on Apple’s website and via the Apple Store app. Starting October 26, they’ll be available at Apple Stores and licensed merchants. The new 14-inch model will cost $1,999, while the 16-inch variant will cost $2,499, according to the company. On Monday, October 25, MacOS Monterey will be available as a free software update.
Apple’s 3rd-generation AirPods were announced at $179 in the news.
The latest silicon is moving from Pro to Max.
While the underlying design remains the same, the new processors can now handle up to 64GB of RAM. The new M1 Pro contains 33.7 billion transistors, which is almost twice as much as the M1. The M1 Max, on the other hand, is the world’s biggest Apple chip, with 57 billion transistors.
For the M1 Pro, Apple has stepped up their game. With up to 32GB of RAM, the new processor can handle memory bandwidth of up to 200GB/s. The M1 Pro is equipped with a 10 core CPU and a 16 core GPU, as well as 2048 execution units.

The M1 Max features the same 10-core CPU arrangement as the M1, with eight performance cores and two efficiency cores. Memory bandwidth has been quadrupled to 400GB/s, with support for up to 64GB of RAM. The memory interface on the M1 Pro is 256 bits, whereas the memory interface on the M1 Max is 512 bits.
The new M1 Pro can handle up to two Apple ProRes XDR Displays, while the M1 Max can support up to three XDR Displays and a 4K TV, according to Apple.
The latest Macbooks in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes
Apple has also revealed two new Macbook Pros, with screen sizes of 14 and 16 inches, respectively. These new Macbooks will have additional ports, a notch on top of the display to allow a new and better 1080p webcam, and the touch bar will be gone.
The Macbook Pro 14-inch has a 14.2-inch display with a resolution of 30241964 pixels, while the Macbook Pro (16-inch) has a resolution of 34562234 pixels. Both displays have reduced bezels and LED illumination. They also support Apple’s ProMotion function, which allows for up to 120Hz refresh rates.

. Three Thunderbolt 4 connections, a full-size SD card slot, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack are now included in every Macbook Pro. In addition, the new Macbooks are thicker and heavier than their predecessors. After being eliminated in the 2016 redesign, these ports are a welcome return to the Pro range.
Because to the improved silicone, the new Macbooks have a longer battery life. The 14-inch model has a movie playing time of up to 17 hours, which is seven hours longer than the previous version. The new 16-inch model has a battery life of up to 21 hours. When using Adobe Lightroom Classic, photographers may obtain up to two times greater battery life. Whether they’re plugged in or not, the new Macbooks maintain their performance.
